How bookings work

A suit fitting on average will take about 20 minutes if you have an idea of what you are looking for.

If you are coming in as a group, for instance a wedding party, a booking is preferred so we can give you our full attention and get you fitted properly.  I will on occasion setup a fitting outside of opening hours on request.

For a single fitting no booking is completely necessary, even though we can have busy times, we will try to get everyone fitted, if you don't mind waiting, or make an appointment if you have time constraints.

Once the fitting is complete all information is recorded and the booking is made in our system, to ensure that there are no double bookings and that we have everything available for when you require them.  If you have any special travel plans or require the hireage for an extended period, this is when you need advise us. 

If the booking is required for a Friday/Saturday date the pickup is usually on Thursday with the return being required on the following Monday.  This then gets processed for cleaning and restocked ready for the next time it is required. If it is for another day during the week we can discuss when it can be collected and returned.  Remember that another person may be relying on the return of any of your items, don't let them down.

 

It is IMPORTANT that everything is returned on the Monday, unless it has been arranged for a different return date, or late fees are added for each day they are late.  Obviously if you are hiring over a long weekend and Monday is a stat day, return is due on Tuesday instead.  Our booking system will allow for this.

Items must be returned in a worn but respectable state, if there are signs of mistreatment this will result in extra charges to the hirer. 

Bookings made through an Agent

Our Agents have some suits instore but may not have the exact sizes for you to try on, or all of the tie choices, but do have catalogues with sample swatches for most.

Once the fitting is complete all booking information is recorded and the booking is made in the Palmerston North depot.

All agent orders are put together in Palmerston North earlier in the week that it is required for.  They are then boxed up and sent via courier, Monday or Tuesday, to the agents to unpack and make contact so that they can be tried on and checked for fit.  We do this earlier in case any replacement items need to be arranged and sent.

Returns are definitely required on Monday, unless arranged with the Agent.  Returns then get processed and checked before being sent back to Palmerston North via courier, for cleaning and restocked ready for the next time it is required.  Late fees are accrued for each day they are late.  Remember that another person may be relying on the return of any of your items, don't let them down.

The same terms apply as above.
